Protesting PPKM by Wearing Only a Bikini, Dinar Candy Declared a Suspect But Not Detained

Kapanlagi.com - Yesterday, Wednesday (4/8), Dinar Candy protested the extension of the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM). Her action took to the streets wearing only a bikini two piece, which resulted in criminal punishment.

After undergoing examination for approximately 21 hours, this DJ and soap opera actress was named a suspect. Dinar Candy was charged with pornography.

"Based on the evidence collected and after completing our examination with the case presentation, we have designated Ms. DC as a suspect of the crime of pornography. As stated in Article 36 of Law Number 44 Year 2008, she could face a punishment of 10 years in prison or a fine of five billion," said South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Azis Andriansyah, on Thursday night (5/8).

1. Suspect But Not Detained

Although designated as a suspect, Dinar Candy did not undergo detention. Due to her cooperative behavior during the examination, the 28-year-old woman was not detained and only had to report regularly.

"Possibly not detained, because the person is cooperative. While not detained, she is designated as a suspect. But she has to report," said Azis.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Police Commissioner Yusri Yunus, said that Dinar was apprehended while at a friend's house in the Fatmawati area, South Jakarta. She then underwent examination around 9:30 PM and as of the time this news was released, it is still ongoing.

"There is a viral video of DC on social media. In response to this, in this case, the South Jakarta Metro Police moved to conduct an investigation and successfully apprehended DC alias DM in the Fatmawati area. When DC came out of her friend's house, we apprehended her for questioning," said Yusri during a press conference on Thursday (5/8).

2. Undergo Urine Test

Before undergoing the examination process, the South Jakarta Metro Police implemented health protocols on Dinar Candy. Not only that, this beautiful DJ also underwent a urine test to ensure whether or not she used drugs.

"We conducted an antigen swab test and she tested negative. We also conducted a urine test on her and the result is also negative. Usually, we check the urine according to the existing procedures," added Yusri.

Based on the examination results, the police secured evidence in the form of two mobile phones belonging to Dinar. These phones were used to record and post protest actions on Instagram.

"These are the evidence, two mobile phones belonging to Ms. DM alias DC. Her sister is currently still a witness because it was her sister who recorded the video, based on DC's orders. But it was Ms. DC herself who uploaded everything on her Instagram account," Yusri concluded.
