Viral Ikoy-ikoyan Trend, Ashanty: Suddenly My DM is Full

Kapanlagi.com - Lately, the viral ikoy-ikoyan trend popularized by Arief Muhammad on social media. Tiara Pangestika's husband said he did the action to share happiness with his followers.

The trend is finally followed by several artists and other influencers because many of their followers asked them to play ikoy-ikoyan like Arief Muhammad. Ashanty also experienced it suddenly her Instagram was flooded with direct messages (DM) from her followers.

“I didn't know at first, suddenly my DM is full, so I shared Lumiere products, I joined. I'm happy that they joined,” said Ashanty in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/7).

1. Not Feeling Exploited

Personally, Ashanty also does not feel exploited by the trend of ikoy-ikoyan. As long as the person's intention is to share and give sincerely, it doesn't need to be questioned.

"For me personally, if the intention and purpose are to share, then there is no problem whether it's ikoy or something else. Whether we say we're being exploited or something else, it all comes back to our sincerity. When we want to give, we just give," said Anang Hermansyah's wife.

"If we think it's difficult to do that, I never think about being exploited or anything else. From a personal feeling, it must arise that those who are capable should help those who are not capable," she continued.

2. Contradictory Response

Ashanty also doesn't mind if there are some artists who have a contradictory response to the trend of ikoy-ikoyan. According to her, everyone has their own way of sharing.

"It's not a problem if someone has a contradictory response. We don't know what they are against. Maybe it's about the method or something else," she concluded.
