Queen Sofya Shares That She Doesn't Receive a Salary, Becomes the Support for Her Extended Family

"I educate my younger siblings, I pay for my uncle's medical treatment, for his medicine I cover the costs every day," said Ratu Sofya in the video, quoted on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Ratu emphasized that almost all family needs come from her work in the entertainment industry. "I support my mom, my dad is sick. That's the result of my work since I was little. To meet the household needs as well," she continued.

Not stopping there, Ratu also revealed the huge sacrifices she had to make for her income. She admitted to having received job offers that contradicted her personal values, solely because of the promising payment. "I had to act in a film that had inappropriate scenes so my family could earn hundreds of millions," said Ratu with a trembling voice, holding back her emotions.

Another shocking fact is about the management of her earnings. Although she has been involved in many major projects, Ratu Sofya claims she has never held the money from her own work. "All this time while I’ve been shooting, the money has never been with me. My parents are the ones who sign the contracts," said the 21-year-old artist.

This situation makes her feel like she has no rights to her own hard work. "I don’t have that money with me, I haven’t had it all this time before I left home," she said with a disappointed tone. According to Ratu, all her income goes to support the living expenses of many people at the same time.

"There are six in my immediate family, plus other family members that I have to support for their education and medical needs," she said. "I’m sending my younger siblings to school, I’m paying for my uncle’s medical treatment… there’s no money left for me. We are financing the lives of many people," she added.

The queen revealed that she had once been at a point where she had to seek additional income outside of shooting just for pocket money. "I... there was a time when I was still living at home, I had to make affiliate videos without being paid by the brand so that I could earn a commission, so that it would be for my pocket money," concluded Ratu Sofya.

After Ratu Sofya's clarification, one of her younger siblings, Bulan, uploaded a photo of their parents on Insta Story. "Time will prove the truth.
