Aurelie Responds to Roby Tremonti Questioning the Validity of the Marriage Cancellation Letter

In response to the contents of the book, Roby Tremonti has finally appeared in public to clarify the status of their marriage, which took place on October 10, 2011. Roby Tremonti openly questions the validity of the marriage cancellation letter or status liber that Aurelie had shown a few years ago.

Although acknowledging the existence of the marriage, Roby finds it strange because he claims to have never held the official cancellation document until now. Amid this dispute, Roby is known to have proposed to his new girlfriend named Dinda and is preparing for their future together.

1. Aurelie Explains the Status of Liber

In response to the doubts raised by Roby's side, Aurelie Moeremans provided an explanation regarding the procedures in the Catholic Church. She emphasized that in her belief, a marriage that is valid sacramentally cannot simply be annulled by humans. According to her, the document she possesses is the result of a thorough examination by the competent church authorities.

"The status of liber can only be granted if, after an examination by the Church and Vatican authorities, it is found that the marriage was never valid from the beginning, for example, due to coercion, manipulation, or unmet sacramental conditions," Aurelie said when contacted on Wednesday (14/1/2026).

2. Absolute Evidence of Invalid Marriage

Aurelie added that the issuance of the status of liber is absolute evidence that her bond in the past is considered invalid from the beginning under canon law. For her, this document is strong evidence that no longer needs to be debated regarding its validity as it has gone through a lengthy process at the highest level of church authority.

"The fact that my status of liber was issued actually affirms that the marriage was canonically invalid from the start, not 'annulled'," she said.

3. Roby Tremonti Sticks to His Position

On the other hand, Roby Tremonti maintains his position that he has never received physical evidence of the annulment of the marriage. He feels that as one of the parties involved in the sacrament, he should hold the same document. The absence of that letter in his possession makes Roby question the clarity of their legal status in the eyes of the church.

"I have never held an official letter from the church stating that there is an annulment of the marriage," said Roby in the Cituereup area, Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday (1/13/2026).

4. Roby Denies Domestic Violence Actions

Roby also recounted his experience when Aurelie asked for help in managing the annulment narrative. He expressed his reluctance to write a confession regarding acts of domestic violence in order to facilitate the administrative process at the church. For him, honesty in that narrative is far more important than simply obtaining a piece of annulment paper.

"But the requirement for the Catholic church is that there must be a narrative from each partner explaining why they want it. So there I have to write that I committed domestic violence. It’s impossible (for me to write that), I didn’t do it," he said.
