Roby Tremonti Shows Photo Evidence of His Marriage to Aurelie Moeramans

Broken Strings is a memoir by Aurelie Moeremans that was released digitally for free, available in both Indonesian and English versions. This book recounts Aurelie's traumatic experience as a victim of child grooming since the age of 15 by a man with the initials Boby. In this memoir, Aurelie uses pseudonyms for her characters.

The aim is not to attack individuals, but to provide hope and a voice for similar survivors, so that no one else has to experience something like this. In her Instagram broadcast, Aurelie stated that she has not fully healed yet. 

"I have not fully healed while writing this book. Writing has actually become part of my healing process.I am slowly learning to be honest with myself, seek the right help, and stop forcing myself to be 'okay'. From there, healing began to happen," she wrote on IG, Saturday (10/1).

During an interview with the media, the KapanLagi.com team asked Roby why he felt offended by the book Broken Strings written by Aurelie. "Although using the pseudonym Boby, search engines like Google and public opinion immediately associate that name with me, Roby Tremonti. In the book, the character Boby forces Aurelie to marry, and the digital footprint on the internet records that I was once married to her. So, it’s understandable that I feel insulted and need to clarify that accusation," he explained when met by the KapanLagi.com team at his residence in Cibinong, West Java, on Tuesday (13/1).

Roby also showed photos of his marriage to Aurelie that he still keeps to this day. "We were married in a Catholic ceremony. In a Catholic marriage, there is a very strict process, one of which is the Canonical Investigation," he added.

In this photo, Aurelie is seen wearing a white dress and Roby is wearing a black suit. They both appear to be making vows in front of a pastor.

Roby explains his reason for clarifying in front of the media. He said he wanted to present evidence. "My intention is simple, I want to share facts and evidence without attacking anyone. I want to correct the negative stigma attached to me due to the narrative built in books and social media, which accuses me of being a perpetrator of domestic violence, pedophilia, and threatening with indecent photos. I speak based on legal logic and the existing facts," he stated.

The Center for Public Mental Health at Gadjah Mada University (CPMH UGM) defines child grooming as the process by which someone emotionally manipulates a child or minor to accept and not resist sexual abuse from an adult perpetrator.
