"(The separation) happened amicably, they spent a lot of time deeply considering it, and decided to take their own paths," said a source contacted by People.

Interestingly, the news was intentionally not announced to the public. The couple chose to keep the decision private for some time.

"They are still friends and support each other. They have quietly been separated for a few months," the source added.

Although her romantic relationship has ended, Ariana is said not to be lost in sadness. The singer of "We Can't Be Friends" is currently busy with her Eternal Sunshine concert tour that started on June 6, while also preparing for the release of her latest album, Petal, which is scheduled to launch on July 31.
