Raffi Ahmad Admits to Wanting to be a Goalkeeper for Persib Bandung Junior after Seeing These Figures

"I really wanted to be a goalkeeper because of watching Peter Schmeichel, and I wanted to be a goalkeeper for Persib junior because of Schmeichel," added Raffi Ahmad.

Even Raffi Ahmad still remembers so well his admiration for Peter Schmeichel, he once bought the same gloves as the 59-year-old goalkeeper.

"So when I was in elementary school, I wore red gloves just like Schmeichel's, after Schmeichel Buffon. So only those two names really made me become a goalkeeper back then," said Raffi Ahmad.

For Raffi, Peter Schmeichel is one of the best goalkeepers that Manchester United has ever had. Together with Manchester United, Peter Schmeichel once achieved the treble winners in 1999.

"Schmeichel won the treble winner in '99, and he is also one of Alex Ferguson's favorites. Almost every match, he was the goalkeeper who was never substituted, unless he was injured or sick," he said.

"His leadership is also irreplaceable under the crossbar as the captain in Denmark, he is a legend in Denmark and also for goalkeepers in Manchester, in my opinion, I respect him," concluded Raffi Ahmad.
