Kapanlagi.com - Raffi Ahmad once again brings a new breakthrough in the sports world through the Again Tennis International event organized by RANS Entertainment. After successfully hosting a similar event for three consecutive years, this time Raffi brings a different concept by bringing together Indonesian and South Korean celebrities on the tennis court.
"We have been holding sports events for three consecutive years, and it feels like this time we have to create something more than yesterday. So, we are trying to make it international, this time we unite to bring the name of the country against celebrities from Korea," said Raffi Ahmad at a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Monday (20/1/2025).
Meanwhile, Nagita Slavina is paired with Desta this time, which surprised her as she just found out about the pairing formation right before the event. They will compete against another Korean pair, Choi Woong and Jung Ha-young.
"I just found out yesterday because there was a call to make a video for this, and finally I was surprised that there was Desta, he knew first," said Nagita Slavina. Responding to that statement, Desta casually said, "I’m also happy to be invited this time."
In addition to the mixed doubles category, this tournament also features singles matches. Singer Dikta is scheduled to compete against Tae Yun from Korea. Jokingly, Desta mentioned that the reason Dikta is playing in the singles category is because of his single status.
"Dikta is playing singles because he is still single," joked Desta, eliciting laughter from the press conference participants.
Raffi Ahmad emphasized that the main goal of this event is not just competition on the field, but to establish long-term relationships between Indonesia and South Korea in the field of sportstainment. According to him, this event can serve as a platform to strengthen the ties between the two countries through sports entertainment.
"This is not about winning or losing, but we want to showcase the good side of sportstainment. It could be that, for example, if Korea loses and wants revenge, we will be invited to play there," said Raffi Ahmad optimistically.
The International Tennis Event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta. With a unique concept and support from celebrities from both countries, this event is expected to attract public attention and strengthen bilateral relations in the fields of sports and entertainment.
As one of the pioneers in the realm of sportstainment, Raffi Ahmad continues to innovate by presenting entertaining events that also convey positive messages.
