“She just wanted to explain, 'there's a child here, the mother may have been trying from morning until night to...'. I can't tell the whole story, but what I mean is not that she was abandoned, it means she was not wanted,” Raffi explained during a conversation on Merry Riana's YouTube channel.

2. Child from the Sky Path

They did not intend to look for a baby girl to adopt, but the baby suddenly appeared in their family through the sky path.

“For Nagita to take care of that girl, in Islam, it must be considered several things, but I said, well, this child is here, how about tomorrow, how about next week, how about next month, if indeed the mother is in a situation, we say it's alright. The important thing is our intention is good, we take care of her,” Raffi Ahmad stated.

3. Have Long Wanted a Daughter

Nagita Slavina, who has long wanted to have a daughter, prayed on the night of Lailatul Qadar, asking to be blessed with a daughter. That prayer seems to have been answered with the arrival of a baby girl who was then named Lily.

“I don’t know why on that night, after we prayed, the next day she came. So at that time it was still the month of fasting, a friend of Gigi’s sister came, who has a small orphanage in Bali, named Ibu Magda, and she brought her,” said Raffi Ahmad.

4. Intent to Care for Baby Lily

The adoption process is not easy, as they have to handle various documents and legal requirements to ensure the adoption status is legitimate.

“Until now we are taking care of everything so that she becomes part of our family. We just want to take care of her,” concluded the 37-year-old presenter.
