Raisa Attends Divorce Hearing with Hamish Daud Amid Grief

Kapanlagi.com - The divorce process between singer Raisa and Hamish Daud resumed at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Monday (1/12/2025). Raisa, as the plaintiff, surprisingly attended the hearing in person, despite having just lost her beloved mother on Saturday, (29/11) last week.

Raisa's attorney, Putra Lubis, confirmed her attendance. According to Putra, this hearing required the principal's presence for identity verification. Nevertheless, the legal team was initially uncertain if Raisa could attend given the mourning that still enveloped the extended family.

"Well, then yesterday we also learned, Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un has passed away to Rahmatullah, the mother of our client. So that also becomes a condition that we have to be able to confirm or schedule her presence," said Putra Lubis during an online interview on Monday (1/12/2025).

2. Lawyer Did Not Expect Raisa to Attend

Putra admitted that he did not expect Raisa to finally agree to come. The communication that took place was acknowledged to be quite sudden on the morning before the trial began. Raisa was reported to have left her home in Cinere and went straight to the court to fulfill the applicable legal procedures.

"Well, but today with the condition still in mourning, I also did not expect that the person concerned would be willing to attend. Something like that," said Putra.

In the courtroom, the panel of judges conducted an identity verification of Raisa. The judge ensured the accuracy of the lawsuit filed by the mother of one child. Raisa confirmed that she indeed filed for divorce and has appointed legal counsel to assist her.

"So the purpose of her presence earlier was certainly first to confirm her identity. Is it true that you are named Raisa? It was confirmed earlier. Then, is it true that you filed for a lawsuit? It was also confirmed that she filed for a lawsuit," explained Putra.

The hearing, which took place before 10:00 AM, was quite brief. After the verification process was completed, Raisa immediately left the hearing location.

The legal counsel also emphasized that they did not want to ask Raisa too many questions about other matters out of respect for the mourning period. "That's right, because we know she is in mourning, I myself also feel hesitant to ask about other things outside of this mourning period," he concluded.
