As a public figure, Hamish is aware that his personal life will always be in the spotlight. However, he feels that the accusations thrown at him this time have crossed the line of reasonableness.
"It's definitely not easy. You know, but right now I just want to be a good father, a good co-parent, and be able to work smoothly in the future," said Hamish when met at the South Jakarta Police, Thursday (6/11/2025).
He acknowledged that all this news clearly affects his work and his peace of mind. However, he does not want to get caught up in the problems and chooses to focus on solutions. "This clearly disrupts all the work. Oh, definitely. Definitely," he admitted.
Although feeling slandered, Hamish tries to remain strong. He believes that the truth will eventually come to light. Currently, his priority is to clear his name and the names of those around him who are also affected.
"It's hard to be defamed when it's already spread and gone viral. But now I make a statement, hopefully with the help of my journalist friends, to clear my good name," he hopes.
At the end of the conversation, Hamish only asked for prayers and support so that he could get through this difficult phase in his life. He wants to refocus on building a future with his beloved daughter.
"I just want the best for myself, my child, my family, and my friends. So, thank you for all your support," he concluded.
