Starting from Mischief, Ziona, Joanna Alexandra's Daughter, Undergoes Surgery - Nose Blocked by Lego

Joanna Alexandra recounts that the incident began with Ziona's mischief while playing. "It started with Ziona's mischief, ending up in the operating room at 5 AM, you know," wrote Joanna in her Instagram post.

The incident occurred around six in the evening, and Joanna immediately took her child to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, the doctor who attended to them at that time was unable to remove the toy from Ziona's nose.

After failing at the ENT clinic, Joanna and her family quickly headed to the ENT emergency room at RSCM around nine in the evening. "Huaaaah putting a Lego in her nose at 6 PM, taken to the nearest ENT clinic, the doctor couldn't take it out... finally taken to the ENT emergency room at RSCM at 9 PM..." wrote Joanna.

The process of removing the foreign object turned out to be not easy because of the slippery Lego. In addition, Ziona kept resisting throughout the procedure. "We tried so hard, it was like a world war holding Zio who was struggling, we couldn't get the slippery Lego out and Zio couldn't stay still even with eight people holding him," Joanna explained.

After various failed attempts, the medical team finally decided to put Ziona under anesthesia for the operation. "Finally, it was decided to just anesthetize him and take him to the operating room so that the Lego could be removed," Joanna continued in her story.

After a long process of consultations and preparations, the small Lego was finally successfully removed from Ziona's nose by the medical team. "After hours of waiting and consultations and prep, finally he could be anesthetized and that Lego was extracted, so relieved," Joanna wrote with a relieved tone.

After undergoing observation and being declared safe by the doctor, Joanna was allowed to take Ziona home at 11:30 AM. "After the observation was safe, we also left the hospital at 11:30 AM," Joanna said.

Upon arriving home, Joanna revealed that Ziona was cheerful again and immediately ate fruit as if nothing had happened.
