"Yes, when I heard the news, I was definitely sad and shocked. But there is also a sense of relief because seeing the videos, he is no longer in pain. And his struggle has been truly extraordinary all this time," she said at TPU Tanah Kusir, Kebayoran, South Jakarta, Saturday (07/03/2026).

As background, Vidi Aldiano was first diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2019. Since then, he has undergone a series of treatments while remaining active in the music industry. His fighting spirit in facing the illness has inspired many.

1. Vidi's Kindness Touches Many Hearts

Raisa stated that the loss of Vidi is not only felt by those closest to him but also by anyone who ever knew him. Vidi's kindness and humor always managed to touch the hearts of many, making him an irreplaceable figure.

"And this is truly an incredible loss for everyone, not just for those who were close but for everyone who has ever known Vidi, who has ever been touched by his jokes or kindness, and there really is no one like Vidi anymore. He was an extraordinary person," reminisced Raisa.

2. Having a Core Group of Friends with Vidi

The former wife of Hamish Daud also recounted how she learned about the sad news. The information was first received through a messaging group of close friends, who had been monitoring Vidi's condition as it began to decline.

"I found out from the group. The group of friends, what do you call it, the core friends, right, who since yesterday had been taking turns visiting as Vidi's condition started to decline. Thank God there were still moments to share," she explained.

Raisa feels grateful to have had the chance to visit and accompany Vidi in his final moments. Those moments of togetherness have now become beautiful memories that will never be forgotten.

Vidi Aldiano's passing at the age of 35 is certainly a heavy blow to the Indonesian music industry. However, his works and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of fans and friends who love him.
