Rangga Azof Reveals the Reason Why He is Said to be No Different from Samudra When Playing Fajar in 'BUKU HARIAN SEORANG ISTRI'

Kapanlagi.com - The soap opera BUKU HARIAN SEORANG ISTRI is showing its fangs. Often garnering high ratings, this soap opera is indeed winning the hearts of viewers. Especially since its story is full of twists and turns.

One of the figures who is also enlivening the story of Dewa and Nana is Rangga Azof who plays Fajar. As is known, Azof previously played Samudra in SAMUDRA CINTA.

It's no wonder that viewers often say his acting as Fajar is no different from Samudra. Moreover, he is playing again with Haico Van der Veken, his partner in SAMUDRA CINTA. According to Azof, this is because he and Haico appear in the middle of the story.

"We suddenly appear in the middle and then we are given scenes that are almost the same (as in SAMUDRA CINTA). So people don't see us from the beginning but they see us already in a relationship," explained Azof recently when met by KapanLagi.com.

1. There Should Be an Explanation

According to Azof, there should be a clear explanation about the presence of the characters Fajar and Cornelia played by Haico.

"Actually, the first thing that should be done in BUKU HARIAN SEORANG ISTRI is to explain who Fajar is and who Cornelia is, so that people's perspectives will be different," he continued.

2. Feeling Like a Failure

The audience's opinion that he acted no differently from previous soap operas made Azof feel like a failure.

"Sometimes we see it from the audience's perspective 'wow, this is just like SAMUDRA CINTA' but we feel like we failed in terms of delivery," explained Azof to Kapanlagi.com when recently interviewed.

3. Very Different

However, the character Fajar is very different from Samudra. While Samudra is gentle, Fajar is much tougher.

"Very different. in terms of being an antagonist, it is different from SAMUDRA CINTA. Samudra is very loving towards his wife and never gets angry at her, but here, Fajar is just tougher," continued Azof.

4. A Challenge

Being paired with Haico in a soap opera turns out to be a new challenge for Azof. He revealed this himself in an interview with KapanLagi.com recently.

"The challenge is how we differentiate Samudra-Cinta and Fajar-Cornelia, we have to find a way to distinguish them. That's the challenge," Azof concluded.
