Rayen Pono: Ahmad Dhani's Apology Is Not from the Heart, Legal Process Continues

Rayen Pono emphasized that he has not received a sincere apology from Ahmad Dhani for the insult against his family name. According to Rayen, Dhani's statement that went viral in the video is not an apology that reflects moral guilt.

"That is not an apology, it should be distinguished between an apology due to a court ruling and an apology that comes from a feeling of guilt, that is related to the MKD," Rayen asserted when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Monday (19/5/2025).

He added that the legal process will not stop just because there is a public apology."But this is related to the legal process, so it's different; an apology does not automatically cancel the legal process, and for me, morally, there has not been an apology at all," he continued.

Jajang, Rayen's legal counsel, also stated that until now there has been no direct apology from Dhani to his client."He apologized after the MKD decision universally. Meanwhile, there was an order in that decision to apologize to the complainant, or Mr. Rayen," Jajang explained.

According to him, Ahmad Dhani has never mentioned Rayen's name directly in the context of the required apology.

"Well, he has never apologized to the complainant, meaning that up to this moment he has never apologized. That needs to be noted," he asserted.

With that attitude, Rayen emphasized that he will not withdraw the report or pursue mediation.

"An apology is no longer relevant today, because an apology should have occurred long before this process," said Rayen.

This case is now entering the witness examination stage. The summons for Ahmad Dhani as the reported party is still awaiting further processes from the investigators.
