"We have been in contact with Laura's family regarding the rights. The film's story will be taken from Laura's book titled Mantra. We have had many discussions with Laura's family, we don't want anyone to be offended, but this film is in accordance with the story," leaked Manoj Punjabi when met at his office in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (9/5/2023).

The film adaptation of the life story of Edelenyi Laura Anna will be titled LAURA. The director who will lead the film is Hanung Bramantyo, relying on the screenplay by Alim Sudio.
"The process of writing the LAURA film screenplay by Alim Sudio is in several drafts. The director himself is Hanung Bramantyo. We are now in pre-production and the shooting is scheduled for August," said the famous producer.

Manoj Punjabi revealed that they have not found a suitable actress to portray Edelenyi Laura Anna yet. However, whoever it may be, they are not looking for someone who looks similar, but someone who can bring the late person's character to life through their acting.
"It's really difficult to find the cast, we don't have any candidates yet. They don't have to look similar, this is not a biopic where the character's appearance matters. They don't have to look similar, but we will adjust the type and find the right casting," said Manoj Punjabi.
