For Azis Gagap, serenity is what he is currently seeking. For him, serenity will bring happiness within himself. Moreover, for him, all positive and enjoyable things should come from himself, not from others.
"That serenity is extraordinary. Because happiness, serenity, and so on, basically everything nice, I have to create it myself, not others," he explained.
In addition, even though he is known as an artist, Azis Gagap still lives a simple life. He doesn't feel surprised after deciding to quit TV and live as an ordinary person.
"I always live a simple life. When I became an artist, people saw me on TV, on stage. But when I'm at home, it's just normal. Whether I go out using a fancy car, buy goats at the market, or gather with the community alone, I'm not surprised. So whether you want to know me or not, it's up to you," he said.
