The 46-year-old man was exhausted because he was chased by time during the production of a soap opera, until finally he collapsed and fell ill.

1. Not Strong

"In the past, I made soap operas, but I stopped, I couldn't handle it. I once had typhoid fever in episode 7," said Hanung when met in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/3).

After some time passed, Hanung finally no longer accepts jobs for soap operas and only focuses on films. However, he eventually decided to accept an offer to work on a mini-series titled 17 Selamanya.

2. Serious Efforts

"After the pandemic, cinemas closed, I didn't know what to do. TV series or movies emerged. But movies are also rare," he said.

What's interesting is that Hanung made the series seriously and used a concept similar to making a movie because he wanted maximum results. That's why the process took quite a long time.

"My mistake was recruiting a film crew, it should have been a soap opera crew. But I wanted the results to be like movies, but this is how it turned out, it took a long time," he said.
