Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian Disability Solidarity Foundation (YASDI), nurtured by senior actress Suti Karno, shows its teeth even though it was just established last April. 1. Real Programs

Suti Karno explained that the foundation she leads along with ten of her colleagues has been trusted by various government agencies in Jakarta. This trust is directly manifested in the form of real programs that have a direct impact on people with disabilities.

"But thank God, we have been trusted to collaborate with several governments in Jakarta, like the Department of Culture, the Department of Health, and the Department of Manpower to organize special events for disabilities that we handle," said Suti Karno when met in the Kapten Tendean area, South Jakarta, recently.

3. Activities from Ngabuburit to Mass Circumcision

Various programs have been successfully implemented, ranging from ngabuburit gatherings during Ramadan to a mass circumcision event attended by 100 children with disabilities during Jakarta's anniversary celebration in June. Not stopping there, YASDI is also actively collaborating in the Jakarta City Festivities and Children’s Day celebrations.

4. Celebrate Children's Day Too

"We, our foundation YASDI, have organized iftar, ngabuburit, ngabuburit together during the month of Ramadan, then we held a mass circumcision for 100 children with disabilities during June, Jakarta's anniversary. Then we collaborated with the Mayor of Central Jakarta to create the Jakarta City Festival. We also worked with the Cultural Office during Children's Day at that time," he explained.

5. Hold a Job Fair

The activities of YASDI continue to move rapidly. In the near future, they will collaborate with the Manpower Office (Disnaker) to hold a job fair specifically for job seekers with disabilities. Ultimately, a large event to commemorate International Day of Persons with Disabilities is also being prepared.

"We will, God willing, next month collaborate with the Manpower Office to organize a job fair for children with disabilities. Also, God willing, on December 7 we will collaborate with the Prosecutor's Office to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities," she continued.

Seeing her students happy and having the opportunity to perform is the greatest happiness for Suti. She feels more grateful when she is among them and sees their smiles and laughter.

"Yes, of course they are happy because they are given the space to perform. They are happy, you know, to perform, right? So, I am even happier that they laugh with joy, dance with joy, especially when they are full of smiles, you know, right?" concluded Suti.
