Refusing to Play Drama Films and Preferring Action, Iko Uwais: Confused About How to Cry

Kapanlagi.com - Action actor Iko Uwais is apparently preparing for his latest Hollywood film project in 2022. However, the husband of Audy Itmen is not willing to reveal any details about his latest film.

Certainly, the latest film from this 38-year-old man is still in the action genre. However, he ensures that the film will be processed in the near future.

"InshaAllah this year, just pray for it. Another action film for sure," said Iko Uwais when met at GBK Senayan, Central Jakarta, not long ago.

Iko Uwais is known for his action films, so he has never thought of acting in dramas. For Iko, it's because he admits to being confused when asked to cry during acting.

"I'm a bit confused when it comes to crying, I don't know how to cry," said Iko Uwais.

2. Shooting in Canada

In addition, the plan is for the latest action film from Audy Item's husband to start shooting in early 2022. The shooting location will be in Canada.

"It will start at the beginning of the year. I don't know yet, maybe in March or April in Canada, in Winnipeg," he said.

On the other hand, when met in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (24/12/2021), Iko Uwais shared his experience while shooting the film THE EXPENDABLES 4.

"Alhamdulillah. This is a very valuable experience for me to be in the same frame as senior actors who have a lot of experience," said Iko Uwais.

4. No Discrimination

According to Iko Uwais, during the two months of filming with senior Hollywood actors, he did not feel any discrimination. Being the main actor and coming from Asia, it seems that Iko received fair treatment in all the filming processes. 

"They turned out to be beyond expectations when it comes to the working atmosphere, there was no feeling that I was a new player. Even though he is the main actor, also the producer, like the sultan in that sphere," said Iko Uwais.

5. A Miracle

For him, being trusted to star in THE EXPENDABLES 4 is a miracle that he is grateful for. Because he can play with famous Hollywood action actors without having to go through the hassle of auditioning.

"Meeting those who have starred in hundreds of big-budget films is something that we cannot achieve by registering or auditioning, this is a miracle from Allah," he said.
