Remake of the Song Bahasa Kalbu, Raisa Makes Titi DJ Cry

Kapanlagi.com - Raisa and renowned composer Andi Rianto have just released a single titled 'Bahasa Kalbu' which is a remake of the famous song by Titi DJ, Andi Rianto, and Dorie Kalmas back in 1999. The song, originally popularized by Titi DJ, is now performed by Raisa with a grander orchestral arrangement.

The initial idea to record this song came about when Raisa performed 'Bahasa Kalbu' at the 15th anniversary celebration of Magenta Orchestra in 2019. Raisa and Andi Rianto's performance received positive responses from the audience, prompting them to release this single.

Raisa also has her own reasons why she really likes the song Bahasa Kalbu and really wants to sing it. Besides having a beautiful melody and lyrics, this song is also what makes her interested in creating a song.

“Without bringing any experience with this song or anything, why do I really like this song? Because the melody is really beautiful and the lyrics are also amazing,” said Raisa during a virtual press conference, Friday (28/8).

“One of the Indonesian songs that makes me more interested in the world of lyrics and want to become a lyricist is this song. As for experience, I have sung this song when I was still a child,” continued Hamish Daud's wife.

2. Titi DJ Cried Until

After the song was completed, Raisa immediately informed the original singer, Titi DJ. When she heard it, Titi DJ even cried. Raisa also cried because she was touched by the response given by the Indonesian Diva.

“Actually, I still keep Titi's opinion in my chat, she sent me a voice note like 'Yaya, I cried listening to this song'. I sent it to her when the song was finished,” said Raisa.

“Beforehand, of course, I asked for permission first, whether it was allowed or not for me to remake this song. Finally, when the recording was finished, I listened to it and Alhamdulillah, a little cry happened, I also cried listening to that voice note,” she continued.

3. Titi DJ Asks Andi Rianto to Release the Song Quickly

Meanwhile, Titi DJ asked Andi Rianto to quickly release the song Bahasa Kalbu in Raisa's version. Actually, the song and its music video were ready in March. However, due to the pandemic, this song can only be released now.

“She called me klepon, like a niece, 'Klepon, I've heard it from Yaya, it's really good, release it quickly'. I called her aunt, yes, aunt, please pray for it, aunt,” concluded Andi Rianto.
