However, both Richard Lee and Kartika Putri reported each other for sarcastic remarks on social media, where Kartika reported to the Jakarta Metro Police while Richard reported to the South Sumatra Police. At that time, according to Richard, he was cooperative in coming to the Jakarta Metro Police for questioning, even to the point where his social media accounts were seized by the police as evidence.

However, Richard Lee said that the treatment was different for Kartika Putri. Kartika's YouTube account was not confiscated by the police as evidence, so she was able to upload content multiple times on YouTube. Kartika Putri also did not have to be repeatedly questioned as a witness in the case.
"Is it because I am an ordinary person? Is it because I am just a regular doctor that I receive different treatment like this?" he said.
"I am very disappointed. I am sad. I hope that the legal treatment in Indonesia should be the same," he added.
Meanwhile, in the same occasion, Richard Lee's lawyer, Razman Arif, said that they had reported the mocking case to the South Sumatra Regional Police after two months. Razman claimed that at that time, the South Sumatra Regional Police promised to make this case a priority, but according to Razman, until now Kartika Putri has not been summoned for the report.
"Until now, they have not summoned Kartika Putri because they say Kartika Putri is still in the clarification stage," Razman concluded.
