Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian Muslim Lawyers Association reported public figure RK alias Rebecca Klopper regarding allegations of distributing pornographic videos to the Jakarta Metro Police on September 27. The report is registered with the number LP/B/5785/IX/2023/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA.

Knowing that his client is facing imprisonment, Muannas Alaidid, as the legal counsel, firmly states that Rebecca is a victim. This refers to Article 4 and Article 6 of the Pornography Law.

"If we read Article 4 and Article 6 of the Pornography Law, she is protected by the law because she is a victim. She is protected because the video is for personal purposes, not for distribution," said Muannas in a press conference in Petogogan, South Jakarta, on Friday (20/10/2023).

Muannas Alaidid also hopes that the police can be fair and place Rebecca Klopper in the position she deserves. Because if not, it is feared that it will actually harm his client.

"We hope that the police can position Rebecca as a victim. We hope the police can act professionally like in other artist cases. Don't let it be reversed and actually harm Rebecca," said Muannas.

2. Online Gender-Based Violence

Furthermore, another legal counsel for Rebecca Klopper, Raudhah Mariyah, said that her client's case is related to Online Gender-Based Violence. There are parties who are considered to have taken advantage of Rebecca's vulnerability as a woman.

"After studying this case, we found that it is related to Online Gender-Based Violence. There are parties who take advantage of the situation, take advantage of the vulnerability of a woman. Because in pornography cases, the public sees women as the main perpetrators, as those who should be judged. Whereas chronologically, women are the victims, like what Rebecca is experiencing now," Raudhah emphasized at the same opportunity.
