Kapanlagi.com - DHF Entertainment presents the latest horror film titled SARANJANA: KOTA GHAIB. This film is scheduled to be released in theaters starting from October 26, 2023. Not only that, this film directed by Johansyah Jumberan will also be screened in Southeast Asia starting from November 16, 2023.
As a native of Kalimantan, Johansyah Jumberan said that working on the film SARANJANA: KOTA GHAIB was full of emotions. This is because the film tells the story set in Kota Baru, South Kalimantan.
"This is a very emotional film for me, because I am originally from South Kalimantan," said Johansyah during the press screening of "Saranjana: Kota Ghaib" at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, on Thursday (19/10/2023).

In this film, actress Betari Ayu was chosen as the main character. She plays Fitriah, a band manager from Jakarta. The 24-year-old woman admitted that SARANJANA: KOTA GHAIB is her first debut in a horror film.
"Alhamdulillah, this is my first horror film, and it's quite challenging. I've been in the world of soap operas and FTV. Now I have to portray the character of Fitria, a manager, a leader," she said.

Betari Ayu revealed that there were many challenges during the shooting process. It not only drained her emotions but also her physical strength. However, with the support of the production crew and her fellow actors, she was able to give her best performance.
"There were many challenges given to me in this film, which were really tough. Alhamdulillah, with the help of all the crew and other actors," she said.
"I tried to give my best performance because in this film, not only our emotions are tested, but also our physical strength," Betari Ayu concluded.

Film SARANJANA: KOTA GHAIB features a number of talented actors, including Adinda Azani, Lutfi Aulia, Irzan Faiq, Betari Ayu, and many others. The film begins with a band called Signifikan, originating from Jakarta, who embark on a concert tour in Kotabaru, South Kalimantan. However, the journey becomes mysterious when their vocalist, Shita, disappears in an unexplained manner.
The other band members then decide to investigate and become convinced that Shita is in Saranjana, a city believed by the locals to be a modern and advanced mystical city. Within seven days, they must embark on a horror-filled and mystical adventure to bring back their vocalist.
