Addie MS Happy with Young Children, Gives Code Wanting Grandchildren from Kevin Aprilio?

Kapanlagi.com - Addie MS admits to being happy every time he sees children. In fact, the top composer of the country feels envious when he sees his peers of the same age who already have grandchildren.

However, Addie MS apparently has to be patient in waiting for the arrival of grandchildren. As is known, until now Kevin Aprilio and Vicky Melanie have not been blessed with children during their two years of marriage.

"I am always happy when I see children. But unfortunately, Kevin has not given me grandchildren," said Addie MS at the A Family Symphony Concert, at Ciputra Artpreneur Theater, Jakarta, Thursday (19/10/2023) night.

"When I see who already has grandchildren, I feel envious. But maybe it's just not (given)," he added.

As a manifestation of Addie MS's happiness towards children, he often introduces symphonic music to the younger generation. In fact, the husband of Memes has formed the Twilite Youth Orchestra, although it is not easy to run.

"When I created the Twilite Orchestra, I thought it would only be about concerts, concerts, concerts. But I thought there should be regeneration, I thought about schooling. So we went to schools, educating," said Addie MS.

Addie himself has introduced children to symphonic music and made them love it since 1998. He does this through visits to schools with other musicians. He also often invites children to Twilite Orchestra concerts.

2. Music to Shape Someone's Character

According to Addie, music can not only be used as a means of livelihood, but also as a medium to shape someone's character, if it is instilled from an early age. In fact, this has already been done in Japan.

"Music is not only for livelihood, but also for character formation. In Japan, music is already included in the school curriculum," said Addie.

"When they are accustomed to reading notation with precision, they are trained to play it with feeling and imagination. When they are in a group/ensemble, they are careful to be disciplined and not to disrupt teamwork," he concluded.
