Nicholas Saputra Chosen to Play the Character River in the Film Adaptation of Ika Natassa's Novel 'THE ARCHITECTURE OF LOVE'

Kapanlagi.com - Starvision production house is known to have bought the adaptation rights of the best-selling novel by Ika Natassa titled The Architecture of Love. In April 2020, it was announced that Putri Marino was chosen to play the female lead character named Raia.

Three years later, it was finally revealed who will be Putri's co-star in this romantic drama directed by Teddy Soeriaatmadja. The actor who will portray the character River is Nicholas Saputra.

1. Quality Must Not Be Below

The selection of Nicholas Saputra certainly matches the name of Putri Marino as one of the best actresses in this country. The chosen actor must not be below Putri's quality.

"After we locked Putri, our main task in casting was to find a co-star whose quality is not below, if we can say that. I want to present something that is very optimal," said Ika Natassa, the writer who was heavily involved in the adaptation process, in a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Friday (20/10/2023).

2. Considerations of Nicholas Saputra Accepting the Role

Before accepting the role as River, Nicholas Saputra had a lot of conversations with Chand Parwez, the producer. After reading the script and seeing the director's and actors' names involved, there was no reason to refuse.

"There are many factors that of course become considerations to be involved in this film. The first is the story and the strength of the character in it, then there is Mas Teddy and other actors who I think are cool. Mr. Parwez's decision in determining the team is very solid. And it makes me not hesitate to join," said Nicholas on the same occasion.
