Request for DNA Retest, Denny Sumargo Officially Reports Verny Hasan to the Police

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Denny Sumargo accompanied by his lawyer, Mohamad Anwar, went to the Jakarta Metro Police on Tuesday night (22/8/2023). The arrival of the artist, nicknamed Arrogant Basketball Player, was to report DJ Verny Hasan for alleged defamation with report number LP/B/4945/VIII/2023/SPKT/POLDA METRO.

As it is known, Verny Hasan has recently become a hot topic among netizens for demanding a retest of DNA for her daughter, who is suspected to be Denny Sumargo's biological child. However, this DNA test has been previously conducted in 2019. The result of the DNA test showed that Verny Hasan's daughter is not Denny Sumargo's biological child.

"Based on Densu's decision to report for defamation. We have already made the report. The evidence in the report includes articles 310, 311 of the Penal Code (KUHP), 315, and also in conjunction with article 27 paragraph 3 of the ITE Law," said Mohamad Anwar at the Jakarta Metro Police on Tuesday (22/8/2023).

"And with this action, I hope that the investigator will proceed with the necessary investigation and inquiry," he added.

1. Admit Shocked by DNA Test Request

In the same occasion, Denny Sumargo admitted to being shocked by the news of Verny Hasan's request for a DNA test for the second time. The artist, who is familiarly called Densu, suspected that he was asked to undergo another DNA test by Verny Hasan because of their conversation with Dr. Richard Lee.

"Why am I shocked too? So there's also someone who said it was because of a quote from a video when we were talking to Dr. Richard. In that conversation, I was talking about how we should be able to forgive everything," he said.

2. Starting from a Discussion with Dr. Richard Lee

According to him, what he discussed with Richard Lee has nothing to do with Verny Hasan.

"How we should forgive what has happened. But it has nothing to do with her. The problem is, she feels, why am I talking about it again? Well, I'm talking about it from my perspective, sharing her life experiences with others," he said.

"What do you want to discuss? Well, I talked about it to give input to Dr. Richard, because he can't forgive. I said we can. We all can. But that doesn't mean we can forgive that person recklessly," he added.

3. Feeling Doubtful about RSCM's Credibility

Then, Denny Sumargo considers that it was from his conversation video with Richard Lee that made Verny Hasan ask him for a DNA test.

"Finally, a post was made and that post made people interpret various things about me. It seemed like the previous DNA test results were doubted," he said.

"The Eijkman Institute under RSCM, whose credibility has been there since long ago, is doubted. Then, it seemed like he said I didn't dare to take a second DNA test," he concluded.
