Rereleased, Powerslaves' Song "Find Our Love Again" is More Powerful

Kapanlagi.com - The music group from Semarang, Powerslaves, re-released one of the songs from the album Metal Kecil, titled "Find Our Love Again". One thing for sure, "Find Our Love Again" is far different from its old version.

In addition to the arrangement, there are additions of several elements that make this song more lively. Moreover, the vocal character of Heydi Ibrahim is now more mature, and the orchestral sounds from keyboardist Wiwiex Soedarno also add flavor to "Find Our Love Again".

"The new arrangement of 'Find Our Love Again' is more powerful and feels more live, it's more like a band," said Wiwiex Soedarno, the keyboardist of Powerslaves, on Thursday (10/1/2020).

"Certainly, the current version is more rock and aggressive. We are also spoiled by technology, so the desired mixing results can be applied," added Anwar Fatahillah, the bassist of Powerslaves.

1. Takes Quite a Long Time

Working on the song "Find Our Love Again" turned out to take quite a long time, especially the mixing process. The reason is because the production was limited by distance. The sound engineer is based in Yogyakarta, while the Powerslaves personnel are divided between Jakarta and Semarang.

"We sent the preview to the sound engineer, but when it was returned, there were still some things missing. Whether it's the keyboard not being loud enough, or the bass not being low enough. We had to do 5-6 retakes. The mixing process for a ballad like this should actually be done directly in the studio, together. But Alhamdulillah, the final result is satisfying, as you can hear now," said Anwar.

2. Recording Again

Just like re-releasing the song "Impian" last August, the recording master for the song "Find Our Love Again" is also owned by the label that has been supporting them for 26 years. Therefore, in order to include this song in their planned album, The Best, Powerslaves decided to re-record it.

"True to its title, "Find Our Love Again" is like finding the heart and soul within Powerslaves. In moments like this, amidst the pandemic, Powerslaves choose not to give up. We continue to move forward with a deep sense of gratitude because it turns out that the most beautiful treasure in a band is the feeling of belonging," concluded Heydi.

3. Archiving Steps

Last October, the band consisting of Heydi Ibrahim (vocals), Anwar Fatahillah (bass), Wiwiex Soedarno (keyboard), and Agung Yudha (drums) took the first step in archiving their old hit songs.

Starting from the songs "You and Me", "Only You", Dream, and "Find Our Love Again". Later, these songs along with new songs like "Keep Moving", "Stare At Me", and "Don't Do It Anymore" will be included in the upcoming album The Best, which will be released soon.
