Kapanlagi.com - After being held in prison due to domestic violence cases, Ferry Irawan, who is now free from prison, has no plans to meet the woman who is still his wife, Venna Melinda. This was conveyed by Jeffry Nicolas Simatupang, Ferry's legal representative.
"There is no thought in that direction," said Jeffry Nicolas Simatupang on the phone when contacted by the media, Friday (18/8/2023).
Ferry also has no plans to apologize to Venna for what happened in their household. Moreover, Ferry is still adamant about not committing domestic violence (KDRT).
"If it's about apologizing, it has already been conveyed from the beginning that Mr. Ferry has never done what has been exaggerated all this time," he said.
Ferry now wants to turn a new page and try to forget his past. He wants to go back to work in order to earn a living like before.
"Now, his condition is already free and he wants to look forward again," he said.
Focusing on arranging the future also makes Ferry not yet planning to find a partner again. Moreover, his divorce with Venna Melinda in the South Jakarta Religious Court has not been decided and is still ongoing.
"It hasn't crossed his mind (to find a partner), but the first thing he wants to do is meet his family and rearrange his future," he concluded.
As reported, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) granted general remission to 175,510 prisoners and detainees throughout Indonesia in commemoration of the 78th Indonesian Independence Day. Among them, 2,606 were immediately released, and one of them is Ferry Irawan.
Ferry was detained for a domestic violence case reported by Venna Melinda at the Kediri Police Station. In Ferry's trial, he was found guilty and sentenced to 1 year in prison.
