After the divorce petition filed by Idham Masse was dismissed in the South Jakarta Religious Court, Catherine Wilson decided to file for divorce. Catherine filed a lawsuit in the Depok Religious Court.
After leaving the public wondering about the reason for the divorce, Catherine finally spoke up. Apparently, she wanted to separate because there was no longer compatibility.
"There is no compatibility anymore. So, well, let's just go our separate ways. Just find the best path for each of us," said Catherine when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (16/1/2024).
Catherine Wilson revealed that another reason for filing for divorce is because she did not receive any financial support. Unfortunately, this 42-year-old actress did not want to disclose how long she has not been supported.
"No, I'm not supported, that's why I asked for a divorce. (How long have you not been supported) for a long time, anyway," Catherine continued.
Regarding the financial support, Catherine Wilson admitted to being confused why there is no responsibility from Idham Masse. Despite being a wife, she expected that from him.
"What I mean is, in a household there should be responsibility. There is no responsibility here. (Besides providing for the family) that's it, there is nothing else," he said.
Catherine Wilson married Idham Masse, who works as a businessman and a member of the Sidrap Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), on October 1, 2022. The event was held at Hotel Mercure, Jakarta, privately.
Catherine Wilson was previously married to Achmad Muchlas Arofat on July 23, 2012. However, their marriage did not last long. After one year of marriage, Catherine Wilson and Achmad Muchlas Arofat divorced.
Meanwhile, Idham Masse was once engaged to actress Sinta Bachir. However, their relationship ended and did not proceed to marriage. The reason for the breakup was not disclosed to the public.
