Revealed: The Reason Duta Sheila On 7 Married Young to Adelia Lontoh

Duta Sheila On 7 decided to marry young to Adelia Lontoh. At that time, Adelia was only 20 years old and Duta was just 23. When met in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta, on Sunday (24/11/2024), Duta revealed the reason for choosing to marry young. Check it out here, KLovers.

Before that, Duta first conveyed that he did not have the chance to feel close to his father while growing up.

"My father got married at the age of 37. By the time I was in the first year of high school, he was already gone. So, my conversations with my father were limited to a child with his dad," said Duta.

Although he lost the opportunity to talk to his father as an adult, Duta feels grateful because now he can have deeper communication with his children.

It was revealed that being closer to his children was actually Duta's main goal for marrying young. He exemplifies that now he can have deep talks with his child who is already in college.

"Because I got married young, my children are now grown up. My son is already in college. So, God willing, this is the moment to talk more deeply," he said.

Furthermore, Duta also explained that his approach is different with boys and girls.

"When talking to boys, it’s like talking to a male friend. When with girls, it’s like talking to a best friend," he said.

Married in 2003, Duta & Adelia have been blessed with two children who have now grown up. More than two decades of their marriage have been far from gossip and very peaceful.
