Lulu Tobing Admits Her Body Is Bruised After Filming 'GUNA GUNA ISTRI MUDA'

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Lulu Tobing greets her movie fans again through her role in the film GUNA GUNA ISTRI MUDA. Under the direction of director Razka Robby Ertanto, Lulu plays Vivian, a wife trying to maintain the harmony of her household amidst a conflict full of intrigue.

This film presents a new challenge for Lulu, who is previously known for her roles in several soap operas. In this horror drama genre film, Lulu not only acts emotionally but also has to perform action scenes. One of the challenging scenes is when Vivian becomes a victim of black magic.

"After receiving the script, there was a reading process, and there were also fight workshops, and a lot of it," she said at a press conference at XXI Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Saturday (23/11/2024).

Lulu admitted that the shooting process this time felt heavy, especially because it involved many physical scenes. She even experienced bruises on her body after undergoing intense shooting.

"After the shoot, my body was all bruised, two weeks of shooting, afterwards my body was shaking because I wasn't used to shooting until 4 AM," she revealed.

This film indeed offers a different experience for Lulu, far from the roles she usually plays on television. Although exhausting, she feels satisfied to be part of this project.

"Before I accepted the offer, I had discussed it with Happy Salma, she helped me to accept this project," she said.

2. From Abidzar Al-Ghifari to Donny Damara

GUNA GUNA ISTRI MUDA is a remake of the classic 1977 film. The story centers around the life of Burhan, played by Anjasmara. After marrying a young wife named Angel, played by Carissa Perusset, Burhan's life turns into a nightmare.

Angel collaborates with the witch Sumi (Happy Salma) to seize Burhan's wealth, while Vivian struggles against supernatural forces for her family. According to Razka Robby Ertanto, this film maintains the essence of the original story with some modern adjustments.

"In terms of the plot, it’s almost the same, but the characters have been altered in such a way, the opening is also a dance, so it still captures the interesting aspects from 1977," he explained.

In addition to Lulu Tobing, this film also stars Abidzar Al-Ghifari, Elang El Gibran, and Donny Damara. Horror and drama fans can watch this film in theaters starting November 27. Don't miss this thrilling story filled with intrigue and mystical powers!
