Rey Mbayang & Dinda Hauw Reveal Another Side of Marriage, Not Just Sweet Captions on Instagram

"Actually, people only see the sweet parts, right? People ask if we've ever fought, and it's not our responsibility to clarify or anything," said Rey Mbayang in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (10/11/2024).

"It's just that we got married young, so people shouldn't just follow along, getting married without knowing what the consequences of the journey will be," he added.

In their Instagram posts, Rey and Dinda often showcase the romantic side of their marriage. However, Rey emphasized that they also face various issues such as cracks in their relationship and the small 'pebbles' that come along in their household journey.

"What is certain is that our household is also explained in the caption just like generally we also go through what is called cracks, there are pebbles. We just choose not to share it," said Rey.

Nevertheless, Rey chooses not to share the difficult sides of their marriage too often. He feels that by not openly sharing their problems, the challenges they face can become lighter.

"Because usually, if we take the exam, it gets longer, so we just say we are the same, we just choose to show the sweet parts," she said.

Meanwhile, Dinda also stated that communication and mutual respect are the keys to facing all challenges in a household. She feels that by making marriage a part of worship, they are stronger in facing every challenge.

"For Rey and me, from the very beginning of our marriage, we both agreed that the intention of getting married is for worship, so Rey and I agreed that if we have problems, we must discuss them. We communicate, and Rey and I also highly uphold respect in the household," said Dinda.

Dinda added that she and Rey always try to discuss every problem that arises. Communication is important so that they can understand each other and find a way out together. 

"Especially as a woman with her husband, I have to emphasize that this is what Rey wants too. So from our side, if possible, the respect that should be instilled is also about communication," she said.

This couple hopes that the principles of communication and respect they have built since the beginning of their marriage will continue to carry them through various trials. "Hopefully in the future we can carry everything out, we can face all challenges together," concluded Dinda.
