Reza Gladys through his legal team has finally spoken out about the rejection of Nikita Mirzani's exception by the South Jakarta District Court judge. They claimed to have suspected that this decision would come out since the beginning of the trial.
Surya Bakti Batubara, Reza Gladys' legal counsel, stated that the exception filed by Nikita's side lacks a strong legal basis. According to him, this indicates the questionable quality of the exception.
"All exceptions being rejected was clearly our suspicion from the start, we just didn't want to discuss this because it wasn't the judge's decision yet," said Surya Batubara after the trial, Thursday (17/7/2025).
Surya Bakti Batubara even stated that the rejection proves the weakness of the legal arguments from Nikita Mirzani's camp. Surya also hinted at the quality of Nikita's legal counsel.
"After the panel of judges decided, it was clear that the exceptions were all bogus. So indeed, if questioned about the quality of her legal counsel, where is it," said Surya.
"So it is very unfortunate that KH is actually not meticulous in defending his client, the criminal case is neglected like this while the civil case disrupts concentration, he said, that is KH's mistake, why file a lawsuit," explained Robert.
Surya added that the exceptions presented in the trial seemed repetitive and ineffective. Out of the eleven points raised, only three points were considered the main substance.
"Yes, it is indeed repetitive. So if you want to be precise, there are actually only three exceptions as to why it goes up to 11, well, it seems more elegant," said Surya.
"So for the future, change the attitude and behavior that has been so arrogant and proud, so try to return to what we know that the court is a noble place for hearings, so during the trial, behave politely," said Surya.
"Second, do not be convoluted in providing statements and open all issues, what is actually the story behind this problem, so that the judge can see there is good faith from the defendant that with transparency, it can lighten the defendant," concluded Surya.
