Rohimah Files for Divorce, Kiwil Admits Polygamy Has Become a Life Principle

Kapanlagi.com - The South Jakarta Religious Court held the first hearing of the divorce case involving comedian Kiwil and Rohimah on Wednesday (20/1/2021). This first hearing is scheduled to listen to the explanation from the presiding judge, as well as document checking and determination of mediation date.

Both Kiwil and Rohimah were present in the trial. They admitted to receiving lectures and input from the presiding judge in the form of an introduction.

"Today we listened to the plaintiff's opinion, in this case, Rohimah. She spoke a lot to the judge, and I just remained silent. What Rohimah said earlier, in essence, she doesn't want to be in a polygamous marriage," said Kiwil at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (20/1/2021).

"Yes, it's true, I don't want to be in a polygamous marriage anymore," said Rohimah.

1. Rohimah's Desire

Kiwil provides an answer to Rohimah's desire to no longer be in a polygamous marriage with her husband. "Yes, I am already in a polygamous marriage. I am already a practitioner of polygamy. Well, what can I do, I have the principle of being a polygamy practitioner," said Kiwil.

"Let the wisdom of marriage be explained. Yes, I have shortcomings and strengths, just like Rohimah. The judge asked us to be good and to protect this marriage. So the judge asked us to reconsider this divorce," continued Kiwil.

2. Doesn't Want to be in a Polygamous Marriage

Regarding the divorce with Rohimah, Kiwil admitted to surrendering. This is because in this case, it is his wife who filed for divorce.

"The key depends on my wife because she determines whether or not her husband can practice polygamy. But my wife doesn't want to be in a polygamous marriage," concluded Kiwil.
