Rossa has finally spoken up about her reasons for taking firm action against dozens of social media accounts. Through her lawyer, Rossa emphasized that she is someone who greatly appreciates criticism, as long as the criticism is constructive and based on facts.

However, what has happened recently is considered to have crossed the line of criticism. The manipulation of content that combines her face with fake news is seen as a personal attack that cannot be ignored.

"Ms. Rossa certainly appreciates constructive criticism. She wouldn't have been able to become as successful as she is today if she were anti-criticism. Because she loves Indonesian netizens, especially, let's use social media together as a platform for constructive criticism, not as a means for self-promotion by riding on the coattails of a famous Indonesian diva," said Natalia Rusli when met by KapanLagi in the Darmawangsa area, South Jakarta, on Monday (4/13/2026).

Ikhsan Tualeka, another representative of the legal team, also added that this step is taken as a form of mitigation. Rossa does not want the creative content she has built over 30 years to be destroyed by individuals who only want to increase their account engagement numbers.

According to her, freedom on social media must be accompanied by moral and legal responsibility. Through this legal notice, Rossa wants to encourage the public to be more wise in filtering information before sharing it.

"Rossa hopes this serves as a lesson for anyone so that in the future it will not happen again, both towards Rossa and other public figures. Netizens can learn that freedom does not violate the freedom of others," said Ikhsan Tualeka.

"We are free to use social media, but when our social media can undermine the dignity of others, slander, and especially Rossa as a creative product that has built her career for more than 30 years," he continued.

In terms of material and immaterial aspects, this slander is considered to have caused real damage. Besides damaging the brand image, Rossa also feels psychologically uncomfortable with the false news that circulates on her phone every day.

Therefore, legal action becomes the last option if this warning is ignored. The legal team has prepared a report for layered articles related to the ITE Law, which carries fines of up to billions of rupiah.

"Of course, we will calculate the material losses, but certainly, psychologically, she has been harmed. You can imagine how someone wakes up in the morning and then their social media or the social media that appears on their phone has something baseless circulating. So psychological damage has occurred, and we will calculate the material and immaterial losses later," concluded Ikhsan.
