Rossa Says Her Name Is Being Used as a Clickbait Opportunity Through Affiliate Links

"It's annoying, really annoying. But I mean, for me, it might not be personal, because people talking about others is quite common. But my management said, 'Why are there so many buzzers, so many clippers that are then given links for affiliation?','" said Rossa when met at the Bareskrim Polri, South Jakarta, on Friday (17/4/2026).

"So it's kind of clickbait. The clickbait is like tarnishing Rossa's image, but the links are for their personal sales. That's not healthy," Rossa continued.

Rossa regrets the actions of these individuals who exploit slander as a source of income. She feels saddened if such actions are allowed to continue without any deterrent effect on the perpetrators. Moreover, Rossa's identity is misused in content that is completely untrue.

"And I thought, 'Yeah, that's true.' My child will grow up too, all our children will grow up like that. We shouldn't let things like this become the norm. That insulting others is okay, 'this is my social media.' But it's using someone else's name. If you want to insult your own name, go ahead. But this is someone else's name," he said.

It turns out, Rossa is not alone in facing this issue. She had discussions with fellow artists like BCL (Unge) and Maia Estianty, who also experienced similar attacks on social media.

“Until we think that 'Oh this is not individual, oh this is organized'. Because if using buzzers, it means there are people who fund and so on. And I talked to my friends, like with Unge, with Maia and so on. We talked, 'Oh me too, Sis, I’m being treated like this, I’m being called this and that and it’s made into news'," he said.

"So that the public will believe. Well, I said 'Okay, if that's the case, I ask for permission, I also pray that this can be beneficial so that people will not act arbitrarily and have ethics, have a sense of responsibility when using someone else's name'," he concluded.
