"So this is my 50 years in the entertainment world. Exactly 50 years. I started in '74, this is 2024. This is also 50 years, right?" he said in the Epicentrum area, South Jakarta, some time ago.

As far as Gading Marten's father remembers, he has starred in around 200 titles of films and soap operas. Roy does not remember exactly. "Oh, I forgot. Maybe 200, maybe yes," he said.

According to the owner of the real name Roy Wicaksono Abdul Salam, there are several points that have made him still trusted to act in a film or soap opera at the age of 70s.

"First, discipline. Second, a willingness to learn from the younger generation. Because the future belongs to the young. So we learn so that they can surpass us, and they are better, so we should learn again. To remain relevant," he revealed.

However, Roy still clearly remembers a point where he felt bored and wanted to try something else outside the entertainment world. That happened in the 80s.   "Sure (bored). In '86 I had another job. I thought I could leave this film world," he explained.

Apparently, Roy really cannot leave the world that has made his name known to people. In the end, he returned and has never left it again until now.   "I was quite successful in... There was work before. But the longing to act returned to Bela Vista. That (work outside of films) I left behind. Until now I cannot leave it again," he concluded.
