The South Jakarta District Court once again held a mediation hearing for the child custody lawsuit between Ruben Onsu and his ex-wife, Sarwendah. Both parties were seen arriving together at the courthouse on Wednesday, 19/8/2026.
Sarwendah was noted as the first party to arrive at the court. The former member of Cherrybelle arrived at 09:47 WIB accompanied by her attorney, Chris Sam Siwu, who was ready to follow the proceedings in the mediation room.
"This morning we are continuing the mediation hearing, we will start at 10, hopefully on time, what we discussed last week, we will convey after the hearing," said Chris Sam Siwu when met at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (19/8/2026).
Not long after, Ruben Onsu also appeared at the location. The father of three arrived at 09:58 WIB accompanied by his attorney, Minola Sebayang.
Ruben's presence in this session emphasizes his seriousness in fighting for his rights as a parent. On this occasion, Ruben also expressed his hope that this legal process would result in a fair agreement regarding the visitation schedule with his children.
"What I want is the meeting time (with the children) to be in accordance with the court's decision," said Ruben Onsu.
This mediation session is the court's effort to reconcile both parties regarding child custody.
Previously, the issue of access restrictions to meet the child and disputes over joint assets had surfaced to the public and further complicated the atmosphere after their divorce.
