Wika Salim participated in celebrating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Nusantara Harmony Stage in the Monas area, Jakarta, on Monday night (17/8/2026).

Her performance was even witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto from the VIP tribune, adding a special impression to this year's independence celebration night.

The celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at Monas was lively, with Wika Salim being one of the performers at the Nusantara Harmony Stage.

Her performance entertained thousands of citizens who flocked to the area since the afternoon, including those who watched through a large LED screen outside the main stage area due to the dense crowd.

The series of events at Monas itself took place from 19:30 to 22:10 WIB, becoming one of the three main points of the People's Party celebration for Indonesia's Independence Day in Jakarta, alongside the Sarinah area and Bundaran HI.

In addition to actively performing on various stages, Wika Salim is currently also known as one of the judges for the talent search event Dangdut Academy 8 on Indosiar, alongside Soimah, Dewi Perssik, Lesti Kejora, and King Nassar.

Her role as a judge has made Wika increasingly well-known, not only through her stage performances but also through the constructive criticism and sincere appreciation she often gives to the participants in the dangdut talent search event.

Wika Salim's appearance at Monas is part of the series of the 81st Independence Day People's Festival held simultaneously by the government at three locations in Jakarta. In addition to the music stage, the public is also treated to a carnival of decorated vehicles, fireworks displays, a drone show, and video mapping that brightens the sky of the Capital City.
