Ruben Onsu Firmly Becomes a Muslim, Receives Blessing from Deceased Parents Through a Dream

The moment before reciting the shahada became a time full of questions for Ruben. He wanted to be absolutely sure before taking that big step.

"In fact, the moments when I wanted to become a Muslim were moments when I had many questions that I needed to ask, and the habib answered clearly," he said.

One question that always came to his mind was about prayer. He wanted to understand and perform it correctly from the very beginning.

"The only thing I questioned was, 'Bib, how do you pray, how do you pray,' the habib answered calmly, making me go 'Oh right,'" he explained.

Ruben also strengthened himself not to get caught up in emotions during that moment. He wanted to focus on going through the process without tears.

"I have been determined not to shed tears during my process of converting to Islam; I just want to focus on what I need to do, it was actually the cleric who was sad," said Ruben.

Habib Usman's reaction turned out to be more emotional than he had imagined. For Ruben, this is proof of the strong spiritual bond between student and teacher.

"So it was actually the cleric who was touched, but I focused on not shedding tears when I saw my cleric focused on not shedding tears," said Ruben.

Ruben's diligence in seeking knowledge and asking about religion shows his seriousness. He ensures that nothing is overlooked.

"Always answer what I want to be answered," said Ruben.

According to Ruben, his conversion to Islam went according to plan and without obstacles. He is grateful to have gone through it with a calm heart.

"The process of becoming a Muslim went smoothly as I discussed with you," concluded Ruben.
