Ruben Onsu Still Pays Sarwendah's Insurance Premium a Year After Divorce

In the midst of a renewed conflict, a shocking fact has emerged from Ruben Onsu's side. His lawyer, Minola Sebayang, disclosed that Ruben has indeed continued to pay the personal insurance premium of Sarwendah up to a year after their divorce.

This was revealed by Minola not to corner Sarwendah, but to demonstrate the goodwill and responsibility that his client possesses. According to him, Ruben never intended to complicate matters, especially those related to finances.

"This is also the case, there is a prudential insurance, yes the policy number exists and the policyholder is S (Sarwendah). So this is S's insurance," said Minola Sebayang in his office on Tuesday (19/11/2025).

Minola explained that the insurance premium payments on behalf of Sarwendah were continuously made by Ruben until May 2025. This means that for almost a year after their separation, Ruben still covered the insurance costs for his ex-wife.

"From the time the divorce happened until last May, which means almost a year after the divorce, the one who paid the insurance premiums was just my client. Yes, there is evidence of this," he asserted.

This step, according to Minola, is a clear proof that Ruben always tries to maintain a good relationship. Even for something that is clearly no longer his responsibility, Ruben continues to fulfill it without much questioning.

"We are showing this not to corner or discredit S. But what we want to convey is that Ruben does not want to complicate matters like that. The relationship of kinship should still be maintained," explained Minola.

This insurance premium payment is one of many examples presented by Ruben's side to show that his client is very cooperative. They hope that this good faith can be appreciated by not limiting Ruben's right to meet his children.

"Even the insurance in S's name has been paid, there is no problem. But it should not mean that his right to meet his child is restricted or then with various excuses there is no time," he concluded.
