Ruben Onsu's Story of Pilgrimage to the Summit of Mount Uhud

The umrah journey of Ruben Onsu this time feels very special because he had the opportunity to visit several historical places he had never been to before. One of the most memorable was his pilgrimage to the peak of Jabal Uhud by car.

Accompanied by his friend named Hasbi, Ruben felt very amazed by the historical explanations at each location they visited. This journey provided him with a new perspective on the history of the struggle in the holy land.

"Yesterday we went to Mount Uhud, to the top. Just imagine, everyone already knows the story behind Mount Uhud, right? But Mashallah, during the journey I got this friend, Hasbi, who is very patient," said Ruben Onsu when met at Soekarno-Hatta airport, Thursday (12/2/2026).

In addition to visiting graves, Ruben also had a rare opportunity to visit the residence of a famous figure in Mecca, namely Abuyya. The meeting happened unexpectedly thanks to the help of Habib Ali.

"Yes, I'm happy because I was connected by Habib Ali. He was awaited by Abuyya there. Because he knew I was coming there, I was finally invited to come. I'm happy to have many family members in Mecca," he said.

This moment of gathering was used by Ruben to feel the togetherness in the holy land, especially as the time for the Maghrib prayer approached.

"Since we are there, we take the opportunity to stop by for a bit. And indeed, we intentionally stopped by close to Maghrib time so that we could pray Maghrib together," Ruben said again.

"Even without us saying anything, there are suddenly answers in the gaze. There are answers in the gaze. And what I believe is how Allah gave me this opportunity as well," concluded Ruben Onsu.
