Rushed to the Hospital Due to Exhaustion, Wendy Cagur: My Body's Alarm Didn't Go Off

Wendy Cagur has to face a tough test this Ramadan. Her overly packed activities without enough rest caused her body to give in, leading her to undergo intensive treatment in the hospital.

"It seems like it might be because of exhaustion, my body was stressed and I didn't realize the alarm went off, so I ended up in this situation," said Wendy when met on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Tuesday (18/3/2025). Let's follow Wendy's full statement about her illness!

Wendy shared that during Ramadan, her rest time was very limited. She often worked late into the night, even continuing to go to the gym after filming despite her tired body.

"After finishing shooting Lapor Pak at 9 PM, I got home at 10 PM and went to the gym until 11 PM. Then I should have slept, but I didn’t sleep and continued to have sahur before finally sleeping until morning," she revealed.

As a result of this unhealthy lifestyle, Wendy experienced acute GERD, which made it difficult for her to breathe and swallow. She had to be hospitalized for three days to recover her condition.

"So if you count the rest, three days is quite enough because while hospitalized, I really rested and slept because that’s what my body needed," Wendy explained.

This experience has become a valuable lesson for Wendy to better understand her body's needs. She also reminded the importance of maintaining a balance between activity and rest.
