Sad News, Doyok's First Child Dies After Contracting Covid-19

Kapanlagi.com - Grief envelops the heart of senior comedian Doyok. His first child from the late Sahidah, Rolly, has passed away. The sad news was known from a WhatsApp message circulating among journalists.

"Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rajiun. We deeply mourn the passing into the mercy of Allah tonight. Allahummaghfirlahu warhamhu wa 'aafihi wa'fu 'anhu. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala accept his deeds, enlighten his grave, forgive all his sins, the late Rolly, the son of senior comedian Doyok Sudarmadji and place him by His side, amen," reads the circulating WhatsApp message, Sunday (1/8).

When contacted, Doyok confirmed the sad news. He also asked for prayers for the passing of his child at the age of 43 and leaving behind 2 children.

"Yes, it's true (passed away)," said Doyok when contacted, Sunday (1/8).

1. Died Due to Covid-19

Currently, the body is still at Balaraja Hospital and is undergoing bathing and other preparations. The deceased will be buried this afternoon. However, it is not yet known where the body will be buried.

"The body is currently being bathed at Balaraja Hospital, and we will follow the protocol for the burial," said Doyok.

Doyok also mentioned that his child died after being exposed to Covid-19. "It turns out that the swab test result was positive," said the person whose real name is Sudarmadji, when contacted by reporters on Sunday (1/8).

The 66-year-old man admitted that he initially did not know that his eldest child had been exposed to the Covid-19 virus. "We didn't know, it was just a common illness. It wasn't a high fever, he had a gastric acid disease. (His illness) has been going on for almost a month," he explained.

2. Never Wanted to Go to the Hospital

The man who often duets with Kadir said that since he was sick, his child refused to go to the hospital for a check-up. The late Doyok was afraid that if he was examined, he would be declared positive for Covid-19.

"His child didn't want to, got angry, afraid of Covid, that's what he said. It's a dilemma, because the child is already an adult. It's been 43 years, so not a child anymore," explained Doyok.

After passing away on Saturday (31/7), around 20:00, the body was finally taken to RSUD Balaraja. After being examined, it was discovered that the late Rolly was infected with the Covid-19 virus.

"Yes, he passed away at my house there, the old house. I was shocked, after being swabbed at the hospital," he concluded.
