The video itself has been deleted by Sarah Salsabila. In addition, she has also written a clarification about the video which was made as a sarcastic act towards people who still go out during the pandemic.

Amidst the controversy, there is information circulating about the suspected purpose of Sara making the video. There is a screenshot of a conversation in Sarah's DM with her friend circulating from one WhatsApp group to another WhatsApp group.

The truth of that screenshot is indeed unknown, but from the conversation it can be seen that Sarah explains that she made the virginity auction video only for engagement.

2. Hoax

There is a lot of news about the suspicion of wanting to increase engagement by making a virginity auction video, and Sarah has spoken out again. She briefly denied it through her Instagram Story.

"For now, I am taking a break from social media and not responding to any DMs from anyone, if there is anything circulating, it is a HOAX for the sake of Allah. Thank you," she concluded.
