SCTV Presents the Series 'CERITA KITA', Starring Kevin Julio and Yunita Siregar - Addressing Environmental Issues

Kapanlagi.com - SCTV will present a drama series titled CERITA KITA. This series, which airs starting Sunday (13/6/2021), is filled with education about the environment. This show is realized through the collaboration between Screenplay, BBC, the Norwegian Embassy, and the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) of the Republic of Indonesia. 

"If we flashback, when we met BBC who conveyed the idea and proposal for collaboration, we immediately welcomed it with pleasure. This is a brilliant idea, wanting to convey a noble message, because it is for the sake of the environment and society, but packaged in an entertaining show," said Banardi Rachmad, Deputy Director of Programming SCTV, in a virtual press conference on Thursday (10/6/2021).

Rosarita Niken Widiastuti, expert staff of the Minister of Communication and Information, welcomes the upcoming CERITA KITA with joy. Especially since there will be a discussion space regarding this drama that raises issues about the environment.

"This becomes a unique model, usually dramas end after airing, but here there is a discussion that discusses and explores the depth of these materials. Hopefully, each of us can benefit," said Rosarita.

2. Getting New Knowledge

OUR STORY stars Kevin Julio, Yunita Siregar, and Dian Sidik. Kevin Julio plays the role of Bodo, a symbol of the younger generation for making change.

"I'm really happy to be able to get this character, one of the things that really stuck in my mind is about water. I just found out, just gained knowledge about water, that in 2040 we will run out of clean water," he said.

3. Being the Headman's Child

Meanwhile, Yunita Siregar portrays the character Puji, the child of the village headman who is smart and very concerned about the environment.

"I'm here as the headman's child, she's quite smart because she went to college, and she cares about the environment. Finally, she meets Bodo who has the same vision and mission, they agree to create something better," said Yunita.

"I play as Salah, he's a trendy, handsome, energetic, passionate guy, unfortunately, his focus is only on chasing the girl he adores, Puji," Dian Sidik.
