Kapanlagi.com - Since being acquired by Raffi Ahmad, RANS Cilegon FC continues to surprise. This time, the Indonesian Liga 2 club will soon head to Turkey to participate in friendly matches against two elite Turkish clubs, namely Fenerbahce and 1922 Konyaspor.
Fenerbahce is one of the big clubs in Turkey, strengthened by German national team star Mesut Ozil. Meanwhile, 1922 Konyaspor is a Turkish Liga 2 club.
"It is an honor for us. Initially, we did not expect it because so far no Liga 2 football club has been directly invited by a foreign team. Moreover, the one inviting us is the finalist of last season's Super League, Fenerbahce. Furthermore, there is the phenomenal player Mesut Ozil there," said Raffi Ahmad in a virtual press conference on Monday (16/8/2021).
RANS Cilegon FC is scheduled to depart for Turkey on August 17, 2021, and will return to Indonesia on August 26, 2021.

While in Turkey, in addition to training, Rans Cilegon FC players also have a mission to introduce culture and tourism in Indonesia.
"Besides gaining experience, we are also there to introduce Indonesian culture and promote Indonesian football," said Raffi.
Raffi also stated that this training is his commitment as the Chairman to advance RANS Cilegon FC.
"We realize this gathering is also a form of commitment, that we are serious about building RANS CFC into a superior football club that can bring honor to Indonesia on the international stage," said Raffi Ahmad.
The opportunity for RANS Cilegon FC to have a training match with elite Turkish clubs is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and also the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA).
"We hope this journey can provide motivation for the players and also evaluate the progress of our training for further preparation in Liga 2 to become more mature," said Rudi Salim, who is also the Chairman of RANS Cilegon FC.
