"I, Shani Indira Natio, a third generation member of JKT48, have decided to graduate from JKT48," said Shani while bowing in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (2/7/2023) evening.
"In the end, I was able to survive through it all and continue to exist until now because it was not an easy thing," said Shani while wiping her tears.
Although no longer a member of JKT48, Shani asserted that she will continue to grow and become even bigger. She apologized for not being able to continue with the idol group.
"Thanks to all of your support, for nine and a half years, I feel like I have achieved all the dreams, journey accomplishments, memories, responsibilities, trust, moments, memories, everything in JKT48," said Shani.
The other JKT48 members immediately hugged Shani after hearing the statement from their captain. Especially Gracia JKT48 and Feni JKT48, both from the third generation, were seen unable to hold back their tears and immediately hugged their friend.
Of course, the wota who witnessed the moment also sounded hysterical. That's why, together, they sang the song Green Flash as Shani's last performance with JKT48.
