Sheikh Ali Jaber Passed Away, Irfan Hakim Reveals Memories and Regrets

Kapanlagi.com - Irfan Hakim feels very lost with the passing of Syekh Ali Jaber who just passed away today, Thursday (14/1) at 08.38 WIB. He also shared that some time ago he had communicated with Syekh Ali Jaber's family to inquire about his condition.

"So yesterday when he was positive (for covid) coincidentally I was also positive. They said that donating blood from someone who is newly negative can help with recovery. So I asked about Syekh Ali Jaber's blood type, I wanted to donate, but they said he was currently sedated and there was no communication," said Irfan Hakim in Tendean, South Jakarta, Thursday (14/1).

"Just this morning when I was showering, I remembered, 'I wonder how Syekh Ali Jaber is doing, it's been a while since we last communicated, I'll ask about his well-being later in the afternoon,' like that. Then I received news that he passed away, apparently his condition was already negative but his lungs were having problems so he was sedated and passed away today," he continued.

1. Memories During Shooting and Umrah Together

The relationship between Irfan Hakim and Sheikh Ali Jaber is quite close because they are part of the program Hafiz Indonesia. Irfan Hakim shared the excitement during shooting with him and also the memories of performing Umrah together.

"So I am very close to him because we have been working together for years, even though we work together once a year, the intensity is extraordinary, communication outside of shooting is always there," said Irfan Hakim.

"I have performed Umrah with him several times, I met his extended family in Madinah once. My mother is also very close to him. If we talk about age, we are just one year apart. In fact, he is younger than me and that becomes a joke behind the stage. He likes to say, 'How are you, big brother?' and 'How is the little brother's health?' So, we talk like that, as if we are siblings," he continued.

2. Irfan Hakim's Regret

But there is one regret of Irfan Hakim to Sheikh Ali Jaber, which is not being able to visit his villa in Puncak. "He once asked me to come to his villa, 'brother Irfan, let's find time to come to my villa in Puncak'. Well, I couldn't make it, oh I regret it," said Irfan Hakim remorsefully. 

3. Knowledgeable Yet Humble

For Irfan Hakim, Sheikh Ali Jaber is a knowledgeable person who remains humble towards everyone. He has also gained many valuable lessons from him.

"He is very knowledgeable but truly humble. There are many knowledgeable people but those who are humble are still rare. He is loving, really caring, and he has guided me. He even taught me how to correctly recite Al Fatihah on my YouTube channel. So, there is a lot of useful knowledge," he concluded.
